Polaroid Posters

I sell Polaroid posters! Made from images I have taken, 18 inches by 18 inches. I don't frame them, but 18 x 18 frames are available online. $30 per poster, includes shipping. I can make a poster with borders from any of my Image Spectra Polaroids (the square size), or one without borders from any of my Polaroid 600 / SX 70 (classic size).

Check out my flickr (http://www.flickr.com/photos/kvaughn75/) to see more of my Polaroids. I'll also be posting more there in the next week.

To order, send me an email at kylev75[at]gmail[dot]com. I'll ship within about a week (shipping is included in the poster price).

Calatrava Bridge

Have you seen the new bridge in Dallas?

Teenage Symphony to God and Laughter

Will you help my publishing effort? I am 1 of 20 finalists for Write Bloody Publishing's 2012 poetry book contest. Finalists were asked to make videos in support of their bid for a book contract. Part of the
judging involves editorial review of the manuscript (mine is called Teenage Symphony to God and Laughter) and part depends on results from our video. Will you support me by: 1. going to the
link and viewing the video on YouTube...and 2. clicking "like." You will need to sign in with a gmail or YouTube account to be able to "like" the video.

Thanks for your support!

Spinnaker. Polaroid 600. Summer 2009, Dallas, TX.

I think of carnivals as summer-fall sorts of affairs. I was surprised to see the traveling carnival that I snapped this photo at last summer back at its spot along I-635 earlier this week, the day after Dallas' foot of snow. I love the carnival: that mix of wild fun and horrific sadness; the swift movements and a sense of the stillness of time; the lights trailing through the dark. This photo sums up so much for me right now. An uncontrollable spin. Being uprooted, like the traveling carnival itself.
